NCT is the main operator of bus services which stop at the football grounds. The link above takes you directly to their websites.

Bus Numbers & Stops

From Nottingham City Centre to Meadow Lane, the following bus numbers all stop at Ryehill Street and Trent Bridge.

Service 5, terminates at edwalton

Service 6, terminates at Gamston.

Service 7, terminates T Edwalton fields.

Services 8 & 9 terminates at Wilford Hill & Compton Acres.

Service 10, termintaes at Ruddington.

Service 11, terminates at Lady bay.

The service runs as the Green Line. Both of these stops offer access to The Kop, the Derek Pavis Stand and the Family Stand.

If alighting at Ryehill Street, London Road, which is a main and very busy road, must be crossed. There is however a pelican crossing in force.

Departing from Upper Parliament Street, numbers 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are served by stop V3, and numbers 10 and 11 are served by stop V4. Both stops are next to one another, and are opposite to the Victoria Centre.

It should be noted that service 11 has a detour around The Meadows area, and takes slightly longer than the other services. It bypasses Ryehill Street and only stops at Trent Bridge. This service operates a hearing loop, situated near to the cab door and in the wheelchair bay.

Return Journey

For the return journey, London Road must be crossed for the stops at Ryehill Street and also

Trent Bridge. Similarly, the latter stop does offer a pelican crossing facility.

Accessiblity for wheelchair users

All NCT buses have a bay which can accommodate one standard wheelchair, whether manual or electric. Only one wheelchair per journey can be accommodated.

Sitting height of 1350mm

Maximum length of 1200mm

maximum width of 700mm

Footrest height of 150mm

Any wheelchair which is larger, unfortunately, cannot be accepted.

The bus driver will deploy a ramp when required, and the wheelchair passenger must leave a 2 metres space. The bus can also be kneeled.

The rear of the wheelchair must be placed against the back rest, and the arm must be placed in position. The wheelchair user must try not to cause any obstruction to the gangway, apply their brake and remain seated for the whole journey. However if transferring to a seat, the wheelchair must then be placed in the luggage rack.

If the bay is occupied by a non-wheelchair user, the bus driver will request the passenger to relocate to a different area of the bus. Should the passenger refuse to move, the driver can ask a second time. Should the passenger again refuse, he or she cannot be removed by force, and the driver will then contact the Control Room for guidance.

Once the destination is reached, the bell in the bay area will alert the driver that the wheelchair user wishes to get off, and will offer assistance.

Accessibility for mobility scooter users

Class 2 scooters, which have a maximum speed of 4mph (6.4kph) are classified by the NCT as wheelchairs, and can be carried on all buses. Class 2 scooters are generally the smaller type of scooter. Other categories cannot be carried.

Passengers with a Class 2 mobility scooter must reside on an NCT bus route, and must be assessed by the NCT in order that training may be given. Once this procedure is completed, a permit will be issued to the scooter user.

Accessibility for blind a partially sighted passengers

NCT drivers have been trained to assist passengers with guide dogs.

Almost every NCT bus has audio announcements for the stops being approached.

If a passenger knows of the bus or buses they intend to catch, a feature called "Stop the Bus", which may be located in the NCTX Buses app, which is enabled for VoiceOver, can be used to contact NCT who in turn will alert the driver/s.

If a passenger wishes to, he or she may visit the depot and get on and off an out of service bus so as to become familiarised by the layout.

Drivers are trained to stop for those with visual impairments, the drivers will state their service number and destination. If the stop is not the correct one, then the driver will let the Control Room know, and the right driver will be informed that the passenger is waiting.

A call to the Travel Centre on 0115 950 6070 may be made to let the staff know when the passenger is travelling, and the service required, and the staff will contact the Control Room to let the relevant driver know that the passenger will be waiting.

Priority seats

For ambulant passengers, the first two double seats on the left hand side of the bus are there to accommodate such passengers.

All buses offer the facility of audio/visual announcements of the forthcoming stops.
