We're very excited to announce that STOMA Facilities are being added to the Accessible Toilets at Meadow Lane!
Thanks to CBB Clifton Bidding Bargain Page our intentions to upgrade the Accessible Toilets around the ground to include Stoma facilities is well underway.
Having secured funding from CBB a local charity, the committee have been working with the club to bring this much needed project to fruition in 4 of the 6 Accessible match day Toilets before the end of the current season. The facilities can be accessed by both home and away fans alike courtesy of the £1,250 grant provided by CBB which will transform match days for many of our fans as well as welcoming new ones to Meadow Lane in the knowledge that they are being catered for.
Features include,
Hooks on doors
To hang clothing, handbags and luggage while changing stoma bags. This provides more space in the cubicle.
Shelf space
To enable Ostomates to spread out their items easily and avoid having to use unsanitary surfaces.
Mirror
To enable users to see their stoma while changing their appliances.
Bin
Disposal bin in every cubicle – To avoid embarrassment for Ostomates having to dispose of their stoma bag in public view.
Accessible stoma friendly signage
To highlight the right of Ostomates to use the toilet and reduces the risk of hostility when using an Accessible Toilet.
The upgrades will initially take place in both of the Accessible Toilets in the Family and Derek Pavis stands alike, with one also being upgraded on the 2nd floor in the DP too. The initial upgrades should all be completed in time for the final home game of the season. whilst the rest should be ready for the start of the 20226/27 campaign.
